Security at Event Venues

April 17, 2013

Events like the Boston Marathon should be occasions for entertainment, celebration, and, for some, personal achievement. It is a tragic fact, however, that this is not always the case, as these occasions can also be opportunities for mass violence and other acts of terror. The Department of Homeland Security has issued security preparation guides for event planners, as well as tips for attendees that will hopefully help prevent future events from becoming sites of violence. We recommend seeing the following documents, and always adhering to the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign.
